Launch of the Lyndi Fourie Foundation took place at the Helderberg College Cafetaria on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain towering over Somerset West. Around 200 people garthered and brought their own supper, whilst the Foundation provided multi-cultural music, Champagne and dessert. Exactly 10 years from the night Lyndi died, this creative and lively evening celebrated her life and the future of the Foundation in her name

Three Yellowood trees were donated to Helderberg College in a gesture of gratitude for hosting this occassion by the Tsoga Environmental Centre in Langa. They have been planted in the cemetry near Lyndi's grave.
